Abstract: This paper contains documentation for the WATCH system, which consists of three BB1 application programs. The original WATCH program learns control strategies by generalizing a sequence of actions into a single hierarchical explanation. The NEWWATCH extension allows the action sequence also to contain interruptions in the primary strategy. The MetaWATCH application learns from multiple problem-solving sessions.
