Hi Peter. Ha Ha. It only takes four fingerstrokes to
erase those messages. You probably used up a fair number of 
photons, though.

Point (I think) taken: you find this 'philosophical' talk 
useless and irritating. OK, a common perspective. However, 
theres something important happening here: John Sowa is 
trying to influence the design of what might become a 
national standard in a very idiosyncratic way, and citing
philosophers from Aristotle to Wittgenstein as vague authorities 
for his odd positions on many issues. He will get his way by 
sheer number of characters if we all decide we don't want 
to be interested in this stuff.

Yours is a common view, by the way, which seems to be that 
anything written by someone who is now dead can't have any 
importance for AI. I expect John and I are united in disagreeing 
with this.

If these messages bother you, don't read them. You should be 
able to quickly flush any long message from me or John that 
comes your way. I will certainly now do that to any long message
