Poligon, A System for Parallel Problem Solving

Reference: Rice, J. P. Poligon, A System for Parallel Problem Solving. Asilomar, 1986.

Abstract: The Poligon system is a new, domain-independent language and attendant support environment, which has been designed specifically for the implementation of applications using a Blackboard-like problem-solving framework in a parallel computational environment. This paper describes the Poligon system and the Poligon language, its salient and novel features. Poligon is compared with other approaches to the programming of parallel systems.
