Standard Ontology

As I briefed at the last meeting, the education community needs a standard
ontology(s) upon which to base its ontologies. A variety of education groups
are working on ontologies, glossaries, metadata, etc., but they are all
stand-alone efforts.

One problem I see is that few people understand even the basics of
ontologies, and those that do often disbelieve that a standard could be
established. Being an eternal optimist, I'm all for trying.

If you plan a meeting, I will work to get a representative from the
education community to attend.
