This is to inform you of one change to the planned schedule and agenda for
the upcoming T2 meeting at USC ISI in Marina del Rey. It appears that there
will be very few edits submitted for the Committee Draft version of the
Conceptual Schema Modelling Facilities (CSMF) standard [ISO/IEC 14481].
Based on this, I am cancelling the first day of the pre-meeting of the Ad
Hoc Group on Conceptual Schemas scheduled to address this topic.
Specifically:

THE PRE-MEETING ON TUESDAY MARCH 18, 1997 HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The pre-meeting to edit the draft document will now take place ONLY on
Wednesday March 19, 1997, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The schedule for the
remainder of the week, including plenaries and meetings of the Ad Hoc Group
on Ontology remains unchanged.
Given the small number of participants who had previously confirmed to me
their attendance at both days of this pre-meeting, this should not affect
the travel arrangements of many of you. To those who may be affected, I
apologize for any inconvenience. This pre-meeting time period was
originally set aside to allow for more extensive edits, but those who have
been reviewing the standard are planning to recommend its approval,
submitting only minor edits as comments. For anyone who still wants to
review the draft standard, it is available in the CSMF electronic archive
at NIST. Contact me for details. On another agenda item, the LIA-2 Final CD
ballot version will also be available (at the NCITS ITI web site) by the
end of this week. Again, contact me for details.
I would also like to remind those planning to attend any or all portions of
the meeting of the CUT OFF DATE OF MONDAY MARCH 3, 1997 for the special
