Summary

This has been a quick tour of an DME analysis in the domain of thermal engineering.

• The thermal system knowledge base is the first test bed for CML in a domain with a wide variety of applicability.

• We showed a example of a typical vapor power plant design, which DME analyzed for its performance characteristics.

• Given the CML model of the power plant, DME:
  activates applicable model fragments,
  generates all appicable equations,
  solves the equations for as many variables as possible using MathServ,
  explains the result.
